Levee contractors sued by leasing company who allegedly owe nearly $660K

GRETNA – A marine equipment leasing company is suing two other marine companies for alleged non-payment for work provided on a levee project.

3L Leasing LLC filed suit against American Amphibious Equipment and Rentals Inc. and Shoreline Marine LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on March. 11.

3L Leasing LLC claims it provided service for a levee project at Marsh Island for American Amphibious Equipment and Rentals Inc. and Shoreline Marine LLC. The plaintiffs claim it invoiced the defendants a total of $659,035 but did not receive any payment despite forwarding letters of demand.

Damages in the amount of $659,035 plus attorney’s fees plus 15 percent of the amount due in penalties and attorney’s fees.

3L Leasing LLC is represented by Craig W. Brewer of Metairie-based Staines & Eppling.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
