A woman filed suit in Orleans Parish Civil District Court after slipping in standing water at the Franklin Avenue Rouse's.

Lise Naccari claims she slipped in a puddle that formed from a leak in the frozen food department. Naccari's suit asserts she sustained serious and disabling injuries to her lower back, neck, right arm, right leg, right shoulder, right jaw, both eyes and suffers from headaches related to the incident.

Rosue's is cited in the suit for failure to inspect and maintain store premises, warn customers of possible dangers, upkeep of refrigeration units, failure to take reasonable caution and care.

Vincent P. Scallan, of Metairie-based Caluda Law Firm, is representing Naccari.

The plaintiff seeks damages for general liability as well as the cost of judicial proceedings.

The case has been assigned to Section N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
