A former salesman for a roofing company claims he was terminated and not paid $9,000 in commissions.

Reagan Katz filed suit against Wilfredo Garcia, Garcia Roofing and Roofcorp on Dec. 14 in the 23rd Judicial District Court.

Katz claims he is owed $9,000 in commission for sales be made for the defendants when he was employed for over nine days in October 2010. Reagan also alleges his employment was terminated because he brought up illegal work practices to his employer.

The plaintiff is seeking back wages, 90 days penalty pay, treble damages and attorney's fees from the defendants.

Reagan is being represented by Gonzales-based attorney Jean-Paul Robert.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Ralph Tureau.
