NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is suing a former co-worker for injuries she claims were caused by workplace violence.
Vivian German filed suit on Feb. 8 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Parish Anesthesia Associates and Kevin Benner.
German alleges she was working as a registered nurse with Benner when he kicked her in the buttocks.
Parish Anesthesia Associates is being accused of negligence for knowing the violent tendencies of Benner yet retaining him even though he had previously gone through workplace retraining due to violent tendencies.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain, emotional distress, temporary total disability, permanent disability, lost wages and legal costs and fees.
German is being represented by attorney J. Courtney Wilson of Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
