GRETNA – A Houston woman is suing her former landlord for allegedly unjustly keeping her security deposit.
Chung Tran filed suit on March 12 in 24th Judicial District Court against Cam Nguyen and Mr. Cam Corporation.
Tran claims she leased a restaurant including restaurant equipment from Nguyen. The plaintiff alleges she only used the equipment for a month before terminating the lease.
The defendant is accused of justifying keeping the $30,000 security deposit by claiming the plaintiff sold some of the equipment.
Damages in the amount of $30,000 plus attorney and legal fees are sought.
Tran is being represented by Robert W. Grant of Harvey-based Grant and Barrow.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
