Alleged attackers sued by man who claims he was jumped in Grand Isle bar parking lot

GRETNA – A Lafourche Parish man is suing two men for injuries he claims he received in a fight in the parking lot of a sports bar.

Chjet F. Toups filed suit against Craing Pizani and Wayne Cheramie in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 12.

Toups claims he exited the establishment with his cousin Dew Legrande and was walking across the parking lot at Artie's Sportd Bar in Grand Isle when Pizani struck Legrande in the face. The plaintiff alleges he stepped in between the two and was also struck in the face by Pizani and afterward by Cheramie and three other unidentified people.
