Sub-contractor seeks payment for Terrytown Elementary School construction

Terrytown Elementary School before construction was completed

GRETNA – A Louisiana corporate sub-contractor claims it is owed over $100,000 by a contractor for work completed on a school construction project.

Industrial and Mechanical Contractors filed suit against Pete Vicari General Contractor, LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 9.

The plaintiff claims it entered into a sub-contractor agreement with Pete Vicari on the Terrytown Elementary School Project located at 550 East Forest Lawn Drive in Terrytown. It alleges that it was supposed to be paid a percentage of the entire contract received by the defendant. Industrial and Mechanical Contractors claims that under the contract it is still owed $111,824.57.

The defendant is accused of not forwarding payment received from the project owner.

Damages in the amount of $111,824.57 plus legal interest and attorney's fees are requested.

Industrial and Mechanical Contractors is represented by New Orleans-based Clarence F. Favret.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robert A. Pitre.
