Wendy's sued by man who allegedly slipped on soaked and muddy rug

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man is suing a local fast food restaurant for injuries he claims to have received on its premises.

Thomas Williams filed suit against Wendy's Restaurants, LLC and Lee White in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 13. Williams claims as he was entering the Wendy's located at 7009 Veteran's Memorial Blvd. in Metairie he stepped on a carpet that was soaked and muddy. An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses, loss of earning capacity, physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, embarrassment, humiliation and disability.

Williams is represented by Mark W. Smith of New Orleans-based Mark W. Smith and Associates.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
