BATON ROUGE – A Baton Rouge woman is suing a bus driver and the East Baton Rouge School Board after she the bus collided with her vehicle after allegedly running a stop light.
Peggy Raby filed suit against Linda Cox, East Baton Rouge School Board, Ace American Insurance and Dr. Bernard Taylor, Jr., superintendent of East Baton Rouge School Board, in the 19th Judicial Court on Aug. 15.
Cox, an East Baton Rouge School bus driver, allegedly struck the right side of the plaintiff's vehicle on Sept. 1, 2011. The file did not specify if the bus was occupied with students.
Raby is also suing Dr. Bernard Taylor, Jr. because she claims he is responsible for the safe operation of the buses.
The defendant is accused of intentionally allowing infliction of bodily harm on plaintiff, negligent injury, running a stop sign, driving carelessly and recklessly and failure to yield.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of wages and property damages.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Janice Clark.
