Foundation repair company sued by displeased customer for alleged damages

NEW ORLEANS - An Orleans Parish resident is suing a Louisiana foundation repair corporation for alleged breach of contract and other damages.

Meaurex Williams filed a lawsuit against Jericho of Louisiana, LLC in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug.9. The plaintiff alleges that Jericho failed to properly perform foundation repair work on his property in the time period promised.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract by failure to complete the project within the time constraints and causing plaintiff monetary damages for repairs and extra expenses.

An unspecified amount is sought for loss of repair, remediation expenses of the property, extra expenses caused by defendant delays, general damages and attorney's fees.

The plaintiff is represented by James M. Williams of Gauthier, Houghtaling, & Williams LLP.

The case has been assigned to Division M. Judge Paulette R. Irons.

Case no. 2012-07857.
