Shoring company sued for alleged substandard work

Robert T. Garrity, Jr.

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man is suing a shoring company for allegedly providing substandard work on the elevation of his home.

David Comb filed suit against Elevation Shoring, LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 28. Comb claims he entered into an agreement with Elevation Shoring to raise his home above flood elevation and that the project would be partially financed under a state program. Comb asserts that he had the defendant cease work on his property due to substandard work that did not meet specifications and left the home unstable.

The defendant is accused of damaging the plaintiff's home.

Damages are sought in excess of the amount required to invoke the jurisdiction of a jury.

Comb is represented by Harahan-based attorney Robert T. Garrity, Jr.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

Case no. 719-534.
