Kent Custom Elevations sued by subcontractor for alleged non-payment

NEW ORLEANS – A home elevation company is being sued by a subcontractor for alleged non-payment of work performed.

Samuel Soto filed suit against Kent Custom Elevations, LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 1. Soto claims that he performed work for Kent Custom Elevations in New Orleans and submitted invoices and for those construction services, but was never paid. The unpaid invoices include two on Sept. 21, 2011 and four on Sept. 16 for a total of $10,150.

Damages in the amount of $10,150 plus legal interest, courts costs and attorney's fees are sought by the plaintiff.

Soto is represented by Jody Forester Jackson of New Orleans-based Jackson and Jackson.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
