Wal-Mart sued by woman who claims serious injury in slip and fall incident

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a local retailer for injuries she claims to have received after slipping in a liquid.

Beverly Randolph filed suit against Wal-Mart Louisiana, LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 16. Randolph claims that she was shopping at a Wal-Mart located in Harvey where the alleged incident occurred.

She accuses the defendant of failing to warn of the hazard and failing to timely discover and remedy the hazard.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, medical and other healthcare expenses, loss of earnings and legal interest.

Randolph is represented by Ben E. Clayton of the Clayton Law Firm, LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
