NEW ORLEANS – A local demolition company claims to have not been paid for general demolition, abatement and removal of asbestos contaminated bricks and drain coverage services related to the demolition of a local junior high school.

Bayou General Contractors Inc. filed a lawsuit against M3A Architecture LLC, Jacobs Project Management Co. and their insurers in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Nov. 30.

Bayou General claims that the defendants owe them a sum of $153,692 and $5,068 for all services provided on the demolition of Francis W. Gregory Junior High School.

The defendant is accused of failure to submit payment.

Plaintiffs are seeking compensation for in the sum of $158,761 and all other available recovery permitted under law.

The plaintiff is represented by Michael J. Harris of the Law Offices of Pius Obioha & Associates LLC.

This case has been assigned to Division D Judge Lloyd J. Medley.
