Pepsico sued by woman who was allegedly injured after being struck by hand dolly

GRETNA – An international beverage company and one of its workers are being sued by a Jefferson Parish woman for injuries she claims to have received in an incident at a store being stocked with their products.

Bonnie Victory filed suit against Pepsico Inc. and John Doe in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 17.

Victory claims she was shopping at the Dollar General located at 252 Williams Blvd. in Kenner when an unknown  employee of Pepsico Inc., who was stocking shelves with their product at the time, struck her with a hand dolly and she fell to the floor. The plaintiff alleges she received severe and painful injuries in the incident.

The defendant is accused of failing to see what should have been seen, failing to do what should have been done, failing to operate the dolly in safe manner and creating a hazardous condition and allowing it to exist.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of wages and injury and disability.

Victory is represented by attorney Frank D. Ippolito of Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
