Shoring company sues over alleged nonpayment

Shoring

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish shoring company is suing the owner of a New Orleans property and a general contractor.

Orleans Shoring LLC filed suit against Gretchen Carrol and Tim Clark Construction in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Feb. 1.

Tim Clark Construction is a general contractor hired by Gretchen Carrol, the owner of the Gentilly property. Carrol hired the contractors to make improvements on her property and Tim Clark hired Orleans Shoring as a subcontractor. The suit claims that Orleans Shoring provided labor, services, materials and equipment to elevate the property and were never paid.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract for failing to pay the amount due and owing under the construction contract.

The amount owed, $17,640.00, is sought as well as interest, the cost of the proceedings, and attorney’s fees.

The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jason Wade of River Ridge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.

Case No. 2013-01058.
