Woman sues Rouse's over alleged slip and fall

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a local grocery store over injuries she claims to have received in a fall on its  premises.

Nadine Boyle filed suit against Rouse’s Enterprises LLC and its insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 19. Boyle claims she was shopping at Rouse’s Supermarket on David Drive in Metairie when she slipped and fell in the meat department on water that had leaked out of nearby refrigerators. The plaintiff alleges she received severe personal injuries in the incident.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental pain and anguish, physical impairment and loss of enjoyment of life.

Boyle is represented by Joseph R. McMahon III of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Carolyn W. Gill-Jefferson.
