GRETNA – A New Orleans man is suing a Jefferson Parish film production company for defrauding him of tens of thousands of dollars he invested in a film that was never made.

Douglas M. Schmidt filed suit against Katherine Wicks Kennedy, Gary Owen Saslaw and Toothpick Productions LA LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 1.
