Elevation company sues homeowner for alleged non-payment of $50K

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish based elevation contractor is suing a New Orleans homeowner for allegedly not paying for his work on elevating his home.

Cajun Elevation and Shoring LLC filed suit against Keith Isom in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 13.

Cajun Elevation and Shoring LLC claims the elevated a home owned by Isom located at 4900 Michoud Blvd. in New Orleans. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant sigend a contract to elevate his house for $30,000, which he did not pay after the job was complete. Cajun Elevation and Shoring LLC asserts that Isom owes them $50,000 for the construction contract plus interest charged on the original amount.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $50,000 and legal costs and fees.

Cajun Elevation and Shoring LLC is represented by Denis E. Vega of Metairie-based Vega & Associates LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
