Man sued by couple who claims they were not paid for maintenance work

Rachel 2

GRETNA – A local man is being sued by a couple who claims he contracted them to perform maintenance services, but then failed to pay them.

Michael and Jane Babin filed suit against Anthony W. Quaglino III in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 16.

The Babins claim they were contracted by Quaglino to perform maintenance on his residence for $3,400. The plaintiff alleges that they were paid half of the original amount plus $400 extra for supplies required for the performance of the contract. The Babins assert they are still owed the balance of the contract, which Quaglino has refused to provide.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $2,100 plus are sought by the plaintiffs.

The Babins are represented by Rachel A. Lisotta of New Orleans-based McAlpine & Cozad.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robert A. Pitre Jr.

Case no. 731-124.
