Telecommunications company sues doctor for alleged non-payment

Portland phone systems

GRETNA – A telecommunications company is suing a local doctor’s office for allegedly not paying for the installation of a phone system. 

Executone Systems Company of LA Inc. filed suit against Progressive Healthcare Provider/Louisiana Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 12.

Executone claims they were contracted by Progressive Healthcare to install a telecommunications system in their offices located at 3525 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. The plaintiff alleges it is still owed $6,683.88 for unpaid fees for which they have sent three letters of demand to the defendant and have not heard anything back. 

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $6,683.88 plus 17 percent interest, attorney’s fees and legal costs are sought by the plaintiff.

Executone is represented by attorney Jacob Kansas of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
