Buffalo Wild Wings sued by construction company for alleged non-payment

GRETNA – A Jackson, Miss.-based construction company is suing the owners of a local restaurant franchise for non-payment of work completed on the eatery’s building.

RCI Construction LLC filed suit against Compleat Hospitality Management LLC, Buffalo Wild Wings and Barnes Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 17.

RCI Construction claims it was subcontracted by Barnes Inc. who held the main contract with Compleat Hospitality Management in the construction project at 3434 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. The plaintiff asserts it had two subcontracts totaling $142,697.11 and that it only received $83,059.15 from Barnes Inc.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $53,318.10 plus a five percent retainage of $7,134.86 is sought by the plaintiff.

RCI Construction is represented by John I. Hulse IV of Metairie-based Conroy Law Firm PLC.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
