NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans company is suing claiming property damage to its roof, porch and exterior walls sustained during construction.

Storybook Ventures filed suit against Robert Turner, Robert Turner’s Foundation Repairs and Colony Specialty Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 4.

The plaintiff claims it is owed damages in connection with a contract entered into in May 2013 for the replacement of sills, repairs to a chain wall and construction of three piers at a Fourth Street residence. Storybook Ventures claims that the defendant by fault and negligence caused damage to their property.

The defendant is accused of being responsible for damages to the plaintiff’s roof structure, concrete porch and shifting of exterior walls. Colony Specialty Insurance Company allegedly holds a policy of liability insurance for Robert Turner.

An undisclosed amount is sought for relief and all costs of the proceedings.

Storybook Ventures is represented by New Orleans attorney W. Scarth Clark of Koeppel Traylor.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.

Case no. 2013-08389.
