Attorney sues over alleged dumping in front of law office

Dumping+4

GRETNA – An attorney is suing a man he claims dumped debris on his law office’s property, killing the grass.

Edwin R. Fleischmann Jr. filed suit against Mark Clyde Davis in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 9.

Fleischmann asserts that on April 30 Davis trespassed on his law office’s property located at 200 Sierra Court in Metairie where he dumped yard debris on the property and an adjacent property without permission or warning and blocked his sidewalk with the debris. The plaintiff alleges the grass beneath the material that was dumped died and became unsightly. Fleischmann claims due to the dumping he will have to pay to have the debris moved.

The defendant is accused of tortious conduct and property damage.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for expense to have the debris removed, inconvenience and aggravation as well as a permanent injunction disallowing Davis from being on the property.

Fleischmann is representing himself pro se.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.

Case no. 738-293.
