GRETNA – An apartment building is being sued by a tenant who was allegedly injured after she stepped in a hole
Denise Sanders filed suit against Eagle Investments Inc. and its insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 13.
Sanders contends she was a tenant at an apartment complex located at 2117 Highway 90 in Avondale and that while walking in the complex she tripped and fell in an uncovered hole. The plaintiff alleges she sustained serious personal injuries during the incident.
The defendant is accused of failing to properly maintain the property, failing to inspect the property, failing to warn tenants of defective conditions and allowing a dangerous and defective condition to exist.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, permanent damage, loss of enjoyment of life and medical expenses.
Sanders is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin of Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. LaDart.
