Man sued for more than $9K in lumber he allegedly refused to pay for

Breach of contract

NEW ORLEANS – A lumber wholesaler is suing a local man  it claims owes thousands of dollars worth of lumber.

Mason Forest Products Inc. filed suit against Edgar Samuels in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 14.

Mason Forest Products Inc. claims it purchased lumber from Far East American Inc. which was shipped to the E.C. Colley warehouse in New Orleans. The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $9,020 are sought by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is represented by Thomas J. Lutkewitte of New Orleans-based Favret, Demrest, Russo & Lutkewitte of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Div. N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
