NEW ORLEANS – A night club patron claims she slipped over a beer bottle at La Finca Night Club causing her to roll her ankle.

Patricia King filed suit against LGO Properties LLC, Lexie’s LLC, La Finca Night Club, La Finca Home Plate Inn LLC and their insurers in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 14.

King claims that on Aug. 17, 2013, she was a guest at La Finca Night Club located at 4033 Tulane Ave. When she exited, she immediately stepped on a beer bottle, allegedly causing her to roll her ankle.

The plaintiff contends she suffered serious injuries to both her ankle and back and continues to undergo medical care to combat limitations on her activities.

The defendants are accused of carelessly allowing the buildup of beer bottles and debris outside the premises, failing to create a secure environment outside the premises and educating staff on clean-up procedures, among other things.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for pain and suffering, mental agony, medical expenses, loss of enjoyment, disabilities, and decline in income.

The petitioner is represented by Arthur D. Dupré of Leefe, Gibbs, Sullivan & Dupré.

The case has been assigned to Div. A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.

Case no. 2014-07987.
