Wbok radio

NEW ORLEANS – A former radio station employee is suing Bakewell Media for allegedly allowing mold to flourish in its building, which allegedly resulted in her injury.

Paul Beaulieu filed suit against Bakewell Media Louisiana LLC and WBOK in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 25.

Beaulieu claims that he was exposed to mold while employed by Bakewell at 1639 Gentilly Blvd. in New Orleans. The plaintiff asserts that Bakewell negligently maintained its property, which allowed mold to flourish.

Beaulieu alleges that he has suffered serious injury and medical complications as a result of prolonged exposure to mold.

The plaintiff seeks an unknown amount in damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish, embarrassment, humiliation, medical expenses, lost wages and lost earning capacity.

Paul Beaulieu is represented by John H. Denenea Jr. of Shearman and Denenea LLC.

The case has been assigned to District M Judge Paulette R. Irons.

Case no. 2014-08388.
