Ford Motor Company sues for under $2K allegedly due on car loan

GRETNA – An international car manufacturer is suing a local woman it alleges failed to make her last few payments on a vehicle they financed.

Ford Motor Credit Company LLC filed suit against Gia Marie Lovisa a/k/a Gia M. Lovisa a/k/a Gia L. Toogood a/k/a Gia M. Toogood a/k/a Gia M. Lovisa-Toogood in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 5.

Ford Motor Credit Company LLC claims Lovisa-Toogood purchased a vehicle from a Ford dealership and received financing at an annual interest rate of 4.9 percent beginning on March 9, 2012 and ending when fully paid. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant still owes $1,632.79 on the vehicle and has discontinued, and refused, to make payments.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $1,632.79 plus 25 percent interest is sought by the plaintiff.

Ford Motor Credit Company LLC is represented by E. Wade Shows of Shows & Cali LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
