NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans Parish woman is suing a local retailer after she was allegedly injured in a fall due to a slippery substance on the meat aisle floor.

Desiree Polly filed suit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 28.

Polly claims that she was shopping in a Wal-Mart located at 1901 Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans when she slipped on a wet substance in the meat section and fell to the floor. The plaintiff asserts that her left knee was seriously injured by the fall.

Polly is represented by attorney W. Clifton Stoutz.
