GRETNA – A woman who allegedly did not fully pay back an auto loan is being sued for the remainder of what she allegedly owes.

Ford Motor Credit Company Inc. and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services filed suit against Felecie P. Lester in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 16, 2014.

Ford Motor Credit Company Inc. and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services assert that Lester took out a loan to purchase a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer, but failed to make payments in a timely manner resulting in the vehicle later being repossessed. The plaintiffs claim that they resold the defendant’s car for $3,000 that was credited to her account, but that she still owes a balance on the vehicle.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $3,809.38 plus 12.3 percent interest is sought by the plaintiffs.

Ford Motor Credit Company Inc. and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services are represented by Keith M. Frey of Metairie-based Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

Case no. 745-187.
