GRETNA – A dispute over the sale of Metairie nail salon has resulted in the former owner suing the current owner for $70,000 for allegedly breaching the purchase contract.

Jean Le filed suit against Stacey Lang in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 28.

Le contends that on May 1, 2012 she entered into a contract to sell Venus Nails LLC to Stacey Lang for an initial payment $30,000 and a following payment of $70,000 within one month or face losing the business. The plaintiff asserts that she turned over ownership of the nail salon, located at 801 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Suite B in Metairie, to Lang and loaned her $30,000 that she has allegedly refused to repay.

In addition, Le claims she was sued by the nail salon’s landlord for $6,000 in paid rent after Lang took over the business and that Lang has also failed to make the $70,000 payment previously agreed upon.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $70,000 plus attorney’s fees are sought by the plaintiff.

Le is represented by attorney Cindy H. Williams of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.

Case no. 746-221.
