Corvette

GRETNA – A man who claims he was not fully paid the agreed upon price for his 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is suing the buyer.

Stephen Palmeri filed suit against Stewart Ellison in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 2.

Palmeri contends that he entered into a contract to sell a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette to Ellsion for $24,500, but only paid $21,000 up front. The plaintiff asserts that in May 2013 Ellison test drove the vehicle and asked that the gear rations be altered. Palmeri claims that although he completed the extra work on the vehicle requested by Ellison, the remaining $3,500 in the contract balance was never paid.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for loss of profit, attorney’s fees and mental anguish.

Palmeri is represented by attorney Joseph R. McMahon III of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

Case no. 746-347.
