NEW ORLEANS – An apartment tenant allegedly slipped and fell inside his apartment incurring severe personal injuries.

Dorina Mamon filed suit against John Amos in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Jan. 6.

On June 10, 2014, the plaintiff, Mamon, was living at an apartment complex located st 701 Lessep St. in New Orleans owned by the defendant, Amos. On that date, the plaintiff allegedly slipped and fell inside her apartment incurring acute personal injuries.

Mamon claims she suffered strains to both her nerves and tendons including ligament joint damage as a consequence of the incident.

The defendant is accused of failing to repair the defective apartment, failing to prevent a hazardous condition, failing to provide a safe environment, failing to maintain the premises in a pristine condition, failing to inspect the premises and failing to exercise due care.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for pain and suffering, emotional turmoil, loss of enjoyment of life, disabilities, loss of wages, support care and mental agony.

The petitioner is represented by Stephen F. Harris Jr. of the Law Office of Stephen F. Harris Jr.

The case has been assigned to Div. M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
