GRETNA – A Marrero homeowner is suing his property insurer claiming she was not properly reimbursed for damages in a 2013 hailstorm.

Jude Ogeron filed suit against State Farm Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 24.

Ogeron claims she owned a property located at 4470 Barataria Blvd. in Marrero that was covered by a property insurance policy provided by State Farm Insurance Company. The plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 24, 2013 a hailstorm struck the area and damaged her home’s roof, walls, windows and overall structure. However, Ogeron contends State Farm Insurance Company failed to inspect and pay for damages to her home.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought by the plaintiff.

Ogeron is represented by Jim S. Hall of Metairie-based Jim S. Hall & Associates.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.

Case no. 747-045.
