GRETNA – A local homeowner is being sued by a company that elevated her home for alleged non-payment.

Levco LLC filed suit against Linda Lee in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 9.

Levco contends that on Feb. 10, 2012 it entered into a contract with Lee to elevate her home located at 316 Georgetown Drive in Avondale for a total cost of $100,832.30. The plaintiff asserts the defendant received funds from the Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit Hazard Mitigation Program and the Road Home Program. Levco claims the balance of the contract, $30,000, was to be paid in monthly installments of $88.33 until the balance was paid off. However, the plaintiff claims the defendant had stopped making payments.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought by the plaintiff.

Levco is represented by attorney James F. Ryan of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

Case no. 747-556.
