GRETNA – A local motor sports park is being sued by man who claims he was partially disabled in a go-kart accident on its premises.

John W. Acra filed suit against Chubb Custom Insurance Company, NOLA Motorclub LLC and Motor Realty LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 28.

Acra alleges that on June 5, 2014 he was seriously injured in a go-kart racing event at NOLA Motor Sports Park located at 11075 Nicole Blvd. in Avondale. An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, emotional anguish, mental anguish, loss of earnings, loss of earning capacity, partial disability and medical expenses.

Acra is represented by attorney Anne D. Ogden of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
