Brothers sued for allegedly attacking motorist

NEW ORLEANS – A motorist who claims a pair of brothers stopped his car and attacked him is suing for injuries he allegedly received in the incident.

Darren Lombard filed suit against Elton Nobre and Jose Nobre on April 21 in the Orleans Parish District Court.

The plaintiff claims that on April 25, 2014 the plaintiff was operating his vehicle on Park Timbers Drive, a roadway in the Orleans Parish. Lombard alleges the defendant, Jose Nobre, stepped in front of his vehicle and forced the plaintiff to stop. Nobre then allegedly began to pound on Lombard’s vehicle while shouting and cursing at the him. Lombard contends he then exited his car and was approached by Elton Nobre who struck and knocked him to the ground.

The defendants are accused of striking the plaintiff and knocking him to the ground, acts of negligence, stepping in front of the plaintiff’s vehicle, pounding it and causing the plaintiff to exit his vehicle.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of income, loss of enjoyment of life, and permanent scarring.

The plaintiff is represented by Clarence F. Favret, the third, Favret & Lea L.L.C.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
