S&A Computer Services sued over alleged unpaid debt

Contract

A New Orleans law office is suing a Georgia computer services company over an alleged unpaid balance still owed.

Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard filed a complaint Sept. 11 in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana against S&A Computer Services Inc., doing business as SA IT Services, alleging breach of contract.

From October 2012 to February 2015, the complaint states, the plaintiff provided professional services to the defendant in connection with a separate lawsuit, Barrister Global Services Network Inc. v. Eric Seifert, et al., originally filed in the 21st Judicial District Court, Parish of Tangipahoa.

The complaint states that the plaintiff successfully resolved the separate suit on S&A's behalf, but S&A has failed to pay the plaintiff for its services as agreed upon by the two parties.

The plaintiff has sent two written demands for payment of the past due balance, the first on March 17 and the second on June 15.

Still, the complaint states, the defendant has failed to pay the approximately $80,000 still owed.

The plaintiff seeks to recover the principal amount owed plus interest, as well as attorney fees and court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Benjamin W. Kadden, Stewart F. Peck, and Erin R. Rosenberg of Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard in New Orleans.
