Two Terrebone Parish residents are suing a popular pest control company for allegedly breaching their agreed contract.

Christopher E. Cenac Jr. and his wife Audra Cenac filed suit Sept. 17 against Orkin LLC, claiming that the pest control company breached their contract and failed to fix damages that it caused at their Houma home.

According to the complaint, on or about May 2015, the Cenacs noticed what appeared to look like termites swarming around one of the windows in their house. The plaintiffs contacted Orkin LLC, which sent a tech out. Later, the tech recommended that open up an interior wall to get a better look but they would fix any damages. The plaintiffs contend that the defendant has yet to fix any damages and spray the Cenacs home properly as they should. The complaint states that the damage totaled $10,922.

The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for breach of contract, detrimental reliance, unjust enrichment, negligence, negligence misrepresentation and discomfort.

Edward J. Laperouse, John S. Campbell and Ryan K. French of Taylor, Porter, Brooks and Phillips LLP of Baton Rouge represent the plaintiffs.
