GRETNA – The finance arm of an international car dealer is suing a customer it claims defaulted on a loan he took out for a new car.
Ford Motor Credit Company LLC filed suit against Brent M. Davis in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 3.
Ford claims Davis entered into a contract to purchase a 2104 Ford Focus on credit. The plaintiff alleges the defendant defaulted on the vehicle after failing to make timely payments on it. Ford Motor Credit Company contends it repossessed the car and it was sold for $6,000 at auction leaving the amount Davis allegedly owes at $11,854.31 plus expenses and interest.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Ford Motor Credit Company is represented by Keith M. Frey of Metairie-based Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale.
The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
