NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana firm is suing the owners of the marine vessel Mystic Viking, saying they owe nearly $700,000 for undersea services and equipment.

Delta Subsea LLC filed a lawsuit Dec. 11 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the Mystic Viking, her engines, tackle, apparel, etc. and Deepcor Marine Inc., alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the two parties entered into a master service agreement on Sept. 4 whereby Delta would provide remotely operated vehicle equipment and services in Port Arthur, Texas. However, the suit says invoices for the work, totaling $627,869.38, remain unpaid.

Delta Subsea seeks the sale of the vessel to reimburse the unpaid invoices. It is represented by attorneys Jeffrey T. Pastorek and Robert E. Couhig III of the New Orleans firm Couhig Partners LLC.
