Bank of America alleges borrowers owe nearly $700,000

NEW ORLEANS — Bank of America is suing a business and two individuals, alleging default on an agreed-upon payment.

Bank of America NA filed a complaint April 6 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against A World of Smiles LLC, Brigette N. Jones McGreathy and Norman McGreathy III,  alleging they failed to comply with their project finance term loan agreement.

According to the complaint, the defendants failed to pay the monthly installment due February 2014 and the succeeding installments due thereafter. The suit says they failed to cure the default and have failed to pay the total amount of $699,022.65.

Bank of America seeks a trial by jury, payment of $699,022.65 plus interest, fees and costs, reasonable attorney fees and all further relief the court deems equitable. It is represented by attorneys Gabriel A. Crowson and Mark R. Deethardt of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC in New Orleans.
