GRETNA – An Orleans Parish man is seeking damages after he allegedly was caused to slip and fall upon entering a casino.

Larry Tolliver filed a suit against Louisiana-I Gaming, Boomtown LLC of Delaware, doing business as Boomtown Belle Casino, and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 14.

The suit states that as Tolliver entered the casino he encountered a wet substance on the ground that allegedly caused him to slip and fall, resulting in personal injury to his right shoulder, right elbow, right hip and lower back.

The defendants are accused of negligence and recklessness through its failure to consider the safety of their patrons, failure to keep the area free of dangerous conditions and failure to warn against such conditions or prevent the injury to customers.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Todd M. Korbel in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
