Hornbeck Offshore Services alleges companies owe $1 million

NEW ORLEANS – A Covington company alleges that London, England-based companies owe it money.

Hornbeck Offshore Services LLC filed a complaint on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Harkand Gulf Contracting LTD, et al., alleging breach of termination letter and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has not received payment of $1,000,000 per the termination letter from the defendants, which was required to be paid on March 15, 2016, and remains due and outstanding.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for the full amount of damages, plus interest, attorneys’ fees and costs and such other and further relief to which it may be entitled. It is represented by Stewart F. Peck, Benjamin W. Kadden and Joseph P. Briggett of Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard in New Orleans.
