Late 04

LAFAYETTE — A Louisiana petroleum services company is suing a Texas corporation, alleging failure to pay more than $156,000 for purchased products.

Genesis Services Inc. of Crowley filed a lawsuit May 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against Screens Plus Inc. alleging failure to pay the outstanding sums owed.

According to the complaint, beginning in January 2015, Screens Plus purchased shaker screens on an open account and continued to do so throughout the year with the principal balance of $156,609.97 after application of all payments and offsets.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant has refused to answer the letter asking that full payment be made by March 27, 2016.

Genesis Services seeks a trial by jury, judgment in the full amount of $156,609.97, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, legal costs and any further relief to which it is justly entitled. It is represented by attorneys Richard D. Moreno of Lake Charles, and G. Andrew Veazey and Richard H. Felder of Huval Veazey Felder & Renegar LLC in Lafayette.
