GRETNA – A limited liability company is seeking damages for work done per a shoring contract that allegedly wasn't paid.
120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against Carole Ann McKeel-Taylor, also known as Carol A. McKeel, in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 22.
According to the claim, the defendant entered into a shoring contract with a contractor on April 19, 2011, following Hurricane Katrina. The suit states that the contract was to be funded by the State of Louisiana. The defendant allegedly executed a promissory note and the plaintiff proceeded to complete the work outlined in the shoring contract. However, despite the completion of the work by the plaintiff, the defendant allegedly failed to make the necessary payments.
The defendant is accused of failing to perform obligations outlined in the promissory note.
The plaintiff is seeking $30,000 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of the Oakes Law Firm in Metairie.
