Services provider alleges ship owner owes more than $444,000

NEW ORLEANS — A Louisiana services and personnel provider is suing a vessel owner, alleging a refusal to pay more than $440,000 for services provided.

C-Dive LLC filed a lawsuit May 19 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against DB William Kallop and Offshore Specialty Fabricators LLC, alleging breach of contract in failing to pay for completed work. that they allegedly breached the terms and conditions of the Master Service Agreement.

According to the complaint, from Jan. 15, 2010, to Feb. 3, 2016, C-Dive provided services and personnel for the defendants in the amount of $444,728.86. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed to pay the full amount of their indebtedness.

C-Dive seeks a trial by jury, judgment in the full amount of $444,728.86 due, including prejudgment interest, costs, seizure expenses, all attorney fees and such other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorneys John J. Broders, William C.Baldwin and Hamsford P. Wogan of Jones Walker LLP in New Orleans.
