Woman alleges she injured back at Harahan Walmart

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that a hole on the property of Walmart caused her to trip and twist her back.

Robin A. Bergeron filed a suit against Wal-Mart in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 10.

According to the claim, Bergeron was visiting the Walmart at 5110 Jefferson Highway, Harahan when the incident occurred on May 9, 2015. The suit states that when entering the store, the plaintiff stepped in a hole in a grassy portion approaching the store which caused her to twist her spine in an attempt to avoid falling.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is representing herself. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
