Driver claims Entergy Louisiana light pole fell on car

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is seeking damages claiming that a light pole fell on top of her car.

Glenda Dantin filed a suit against Entergy Louisiana LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 31.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was operating her vehicle on June 15, 2015, on Causeway Boulevard when the incident occurred. The suit states that while the plaintiff was driving, a light pole owned and managed by Entergy fell upon her car, causing her injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through the failure to maintain the light pole in a working manner, failure to inspect the light pole and failure to protect individuals from injuries caused by the equipment.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Blaine M. Hebert of Hebert Law Firm in Marreo. The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
